This position is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of ICT Support. The ICT Department is currently small which means you be exposed to mixture support of bespoke applications and Working towards an NVQ qualification you will provide 1st, 2nd, Onsite and Hardware Support to the business.

As an Apprentice ICT officer, you will report to the ICT Manager and carry out your main duties, which will consist of;

  • Managing Calls and e-mails and logging on the ICT Support Service Desk Portal
  • Processing standard and non-standard requests
  • Providing 1st Line support and escalate to desktop support
  • Providing 2nd Line support over the phone or in person
  • Trouble shooting network issues
  • Providing Hardware Support
  • Creating and Manage User Accounts
  • Managing software installs and licencing
  • Attending locations outside the office site where required
  • Assisting with Projects where required
  • Ideally, you will need to have an interest in ICT, with a strong drive to learn and develop new skills. Experience in the following is desired, though not essential;
  • Understanding of Networks and how they work
  • Experience with using Microsoft Products, such as Office and Windows
  • Configuring and Supporting Windows Operating Systems
  • Installing and Supporting Software
  • Installing and Supporting Hardware
  • Installing and basic supporting of network infrastructure
  • Mobile Phone configuration and support
  • A full Driving licence is preferred but not essential
  • Being part of the front end of the department, you will be expected to be friendly, approachable and professional at all times

Qualifications required

The right candidate should have GCSE's at grades C or above in English Language and Maths or equivalent.

Future prospects

On completion of your NVQ you may be asked to stay on as a full time employee of Falck, and carry on to develop your career within ICT Support.
