Once you’ve completed your initial induction you will begin to gain real on the job experience, working alongside experienced and knowledgeable colleagues who will support you in:

  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Completing airline reservations using GDS,  identifying those of a specialist nature for referral
  • Applying the different types of airfares available, ranging from the most cost effective to the most fully flexible option
  • Implementing the client’s Travel Policy
  • Understanding basic passport and visa requirements and arranging for applications to be processed via the Passport & Visa service
  • Recommending and booking suitable accommodation
  • Advising on and booking car rental and Purple Parking when applicable
  • Advising on different fare options and making continental and domestic rail bookings
  • Completing booking files from start to finish, including all necessary entries
  • Being aware of HRG services e.g. Out of Hours and making necessary arrangements
  • Adhering to the client’s payment processes and administration procedures and being aware of the impact of errors
  • Committing to the ‘quality’ culture and adhering to HRG procedures as defined by ISO9001-2000 standards; ensuring that the audit requirement standard is consistently maintained
  • Actively promoting and selling HRG UK products and services
  • Prioritising and organising work levels to meet client demand
  • Working effectively as a member of the team by communicating with Section Manager and colleagues; carrying out tasks assigned; and offering support to colleagues

Qualifications required

  • Five GCSEs grades A*-C/4 or above (including Maths and English)
