You will learn to use quickbooks accounting software and experience a wide variety of roles including:

  • Purchase ledger control
  • Sales ledger control
  • Credit control
  • General admin
  • Finance office tasks

We are a VAT registered business so you will learn about VAT requirements for UK and international transactions and you will establish some knowledge of international collaboration and inter-continental requirements.

Desired skills

Candidate must be computer literate, have effective communication skills and good mathematical skills. Some knowledge of accountancy and accountancy software is essential but full training will be provided.

  • Able to manage your time and your own workload.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE A-C in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Level 2 accountancy or equivalent.

Future prospects

With such a fast growing organisation there is are good prospects for extended hours or increased wage in line with experience and responsibility.

Things to consider

The location is rural, therefore a local candidate or someone who can drive/has transport is desirable but not essential. Other employees live in Shrewsbury and other locations nearby so lift-share could be an option if needed.

We design, manufacture and distribute functional training equipment along with professional education specific for strength and endurance development in all athletes. Located in a beautiful rural position in the stretton hillside we have a growing workforce which is currently at around 25 employees and we are part of the family-owned Beaver Group which has over 75 years of manufacturing experience. The accounts section is located in the yard area where the manufacturing, packing and distributing takes place so there is a busy atmosphere outside. The office however is calm and quiet shared with one other accountant.
