To complete the following daily processes by accurately following the operational procedures for  

  • Candidate assessment bookings
  • Assessment marking including multi choice papers and the co-ordination of marking other forms of assessment;
  • The publication of results to centres
  • The timely dispatch of certification in accordance with IQ Targets.
  • The analysis of completed papers requiring standardisation, including liaison with the Qualification development over standardised papers. 
  •  Upload all Security candidates to the Sia website within the target timescales.
  • Liaison with Qualification development regarding any Centre or candidate feedback regarding the qualification or question bank.
  • To upload all new centre details to the SIA website for approved Training Providers.
  • To ensure compliance with customer service guarantees.
  • Ensure that appropriate records are maintained for the centre.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data on the systems. Collect , import, input, transfer, extract and manage data in various systems
  • Action and resolve the day to day queries from both internal and external customers.
  • To co ordinate with Quality and Compliance on all new approved centres, ensuring the accurate set up of centre, assessor and qualification details on QLMS and continue with a welcome call to the new centre, following operational procedures. 
  • Operational procedures and conformance with regulatory requirements
  • To work and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • To liaise with the requirements of qualifications regulatory bodies and sector authorities such as the SIA.
  • To keep abreast of competitor qualifications, products and services in those markets.
  • Customer relationships and business development
  • To ensure that excellent relationships with customers/centres are maintained and customer requirements are met.
  • To report opportunities for new product to the IQQ Business development department.
  • Action and resolve the day to day queries from both internal and external customers.
  • To develop and maintain strong and co-operative relationships with centres and members.


  • To play an active part in delivering excellent customer service to the IQQ centres
  • To undertake your role in a manner that will not compromise the IQ values for integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • To maintain client and operation confidentiality at all times unless malpractice, maladministration or issues that compromise IQ values arise, all of which should be reported to the Head of Quality and Compliance or Head of Operations or in accordance with the IQ whistle blowing procedures.
  • To keep abreast of issues relating to qualifications development and delivery.
  • To support IQ staff in other departments where required.
  • To represent IQ in a positive manner at all times.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • The apprentice will be working in a busy office and will need to be adaptable to meet the needs of the customers.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft office skills will be required especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The successful applicant must be able to answer the phone and deal with any queries that arise from that call, knowing when to seek advice.
  • Daily checking of completed answer sheets.
  • The role includes the scanning and marking of qualification answer sheets , producing results for despatch to centres
  • Accurately printing and despatching candidate certificates.
  • Answering Centre and candidate queries in writing through email as well as verbally.

Personal qualities

The successful apprentice will need to be reliable, adaptable, be able to work on their own and be able to use their own initiative.

Qualifications required

Maths, English, at Grades A – C and an  ICT qualification

Future prospects

On completion of the apprenticeship IQ will endeavour to place the candidate in a full time role within the company , either in the role they completed as part of their apprenticeship or an alternative position within the Telford office if more suitable.

Things to consider

Based upon an hourly rate of £3.50 - £5.50 per hour (depending on experience) over a 37.5 hour week, the weekly wage will be between £131.25 - £206.25.
