Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
We are looking for the right candidate to train and develop to enhance our current logistical and trading support team; liaising with a strong customer base in the UK & Ireland together with suppliers worldwide, to arrange the transportation of goods to the end customer.
Logistics Administration (Shipping)
To gain an understanding, knowledge and familiarity with all tasks within the shipping department. Undertaking set tasks to assist the shipping administrator(s), liaising with internal and external contacts, building relationships with our agents and customers to ensure a smooth transition of goods through the supply chain.
(Training on the software package SAP will be given to the successful candidate, however, a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 is required, together with a good standard of maths)
Logistics Administration (Trading Support)
To gain an understanding, knowledge and familiarity with all tasks within the trading support department. Undertaking set tasks to assist the trading support administrator achieve the logistical arrangements to deliver steel from its arrival into the forwarding agents to the customer, liaising and communicating with internal and external contacts on a regular basis to ensure a professional service is delivered.
(Training on the software package SAP will be given to the successful candidate, however, a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 10 is required, together with a good standard of maths).

About the employer
You will study for the Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration within the workplace, with regular assessor visits.
You will be required to achieve Functional Skills Level 1 in each of Maths, English and ICT, unless equivalents already held.
