Key responsibilities:

  • Development of browser based options to enhance the user experience of our software.
  • Work with the internal team to log customers’ phone and email enquiries, gather information to enable you resolve or escalate the enquiry.

Required Skills:

Confident user of IT applications (including MS Office)

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident telephone manner and effective listening skills

A willingness to learn how to explain technical issues in a clear and concise manner to technically & non-technically minded clients

Excellent analytical/problem solving skills, as well a good attention to detail. An ability to think laterally and question a situation before escalating the query would also be an advantage.

Customer service experience (desirable)

Website/Software development skills/experience (desirable)

Personal qualities

An enthusiastic and professional attitude and commitment to learning new skills.

Qualifications required

Someone with ideally 3 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.

Programme duration:

Level 3 apprenticeship: 13-15 months

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
