This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at Harrogate Borough Council and appreciate the challenges the council faces in providing affordable homes across the district.

  • Supported by experienced team members, you will gain a detailed understanding of the council’s allocations policy, how the Housing Waiting List is administered and the other housing options available in the district for members of the public seeking rehousing.
  • You will develop skills to provide consistently high levels of customer service, working in a busy housing environment.

  • IT literacy knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word and email and using the internet.

  • Educated to GCSE/NVQ2 level or equivalent (or to be achieved during training).

Hourly rate: £4.05 per hour (16-17 year old) £7,813 pa Hourly rate: £5.60 per hour (18-20 year old) £10,804 pa Hourly rate: £7.05 per hour (21-24 year old) £13,601 pa Hourly rate: £7.50 per hour (min wage for adults) £14,469 pa How will you travel to work? The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
