The role of Apprentice Import Clerk will include but no be limited to:

  • Learn the import side of our In-house computer system
  • Assist with input of Import quotes within our in-house system.
  • Data input
  • Sending documents to the Warehouses
  • Raising client invoices
  • Check vessels have arrived at destinations and update systems
  • Telephone importers to request documentation
  • Other adhoc administrative tasks

Training provider

You will work towards 4 mandatory units and choose optional units. These will be selected by both you and the employer making sure the units are relevant to the job you are undertaking. Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration and Functional Skills include:-Maths Level 1, English Level 1 and ICT Level 1. An Employment Rights & Responsibilities workbook will be completed. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
