Duties include:


  • Assisting residents with dressing, undressing, bathing and personal care
  • Helping residents with mobility problems and disabilities
  • To care for residents who are unwell i.e. changing dressings and bed nursing
  • To plan and assist in mental and physical activities for residents i.e walking with them, reading, and hobbies.
  • To make and change beds, light cleaning duties and emptying commodes
  • To launder and inspect residents clothing
  • To meet and greet visitors to the home and answer telephone calls
  • Take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed
  • To read and write reports
  • To prepare and deliver meals and assist in feeding residents who need help
  • To conduct all procedures in the home in line with legislation.

Ingersley Court is a purpose-built home set in the rural town of Bollington. It is situated in a quiet residential area and boasts picturesque views including the local landmark, ‘White Nancy’. It is close to the parish church, several pubs, the bus stop and local shops. The home has a good proportion of premium rooms with both en suite and kitchen facilities. As well as the care home services, Ingersley Court also has some attached accommodation for older people consisting of eight self-contained one bedroom flats over two floors. These flats are available on a rental basis. Ingersley Court has 32 single rooms, including 19 with en-suite facilities. There is also one double bedroom. All rooms have television points and 13 have a telephone line. There are a number of pleasant lounge areas and dining rooms throughout the home. One of the lounges is fitted with a hearing loop, a discreet device to improve sound reception and aid those with hearing difficulties. There are pleasant, wheelchair accessible gardens and a patio area to the rear of the home with tables and chairs. There is also a lovely roof garden which is easily accessed from the first floor, with beautiful views of White Nancy and the local area.
