Main duties will include:

  • Dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals either face to face or on the telephone.
  • Using computerised appointment system.
  • Dealing with patient enquiries, reporting test results.
  • Data entry of medical information as requested by the Doctor.
  • Registering new patients.
  • Processing of patient records when they register and leave the Practice.
  • Processing of internal messages – practice tasks.

This is a demanding role working in a busy Medical Practice, where a need to be able to understand and maintain important information is essential. Patient contacts can vary from routine matters to very difficult situations. It is important we ensure that all contacts with us are dealt with appropriately and efficiently. Candidates will need to understand the requirement that all information in the surgery is strictly confidential.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour.
