Duties include:

  • Follow daily, weekly, monthly and periodic cleaning schedules to ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Ensure that all storage areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness.
  • Ensuring all crockery and cooking utensils are stored on clean shelves, clean cupboards, drawers, etc.
  • Complete kitchen opening and close down procedures as per schedule.
  • Basic food preparation, vegetables, fish, meat for several menus which will include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additional events for example weddings will also be part of the service.
  • Report any damaged, dangerous or faulty equipment to the Head Chef.

Things to consider

There are no public transport links to us, however we staff do live in accommodation which is charged at £38.00 a week. Most shifts here at Hoar Cross Hall will include a hot dinner. You will also be entitled to full gym membership if you join our team. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
