The White Hart Inn is looking for an Apprentice Hospitality Assistant to work with the General Manager and the team to learn every aspect of the business.

Duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Waiting on, taking orders, serving food and drinks to customers.
  • Clear and clean tables.
  • Bar duties, serving drinks, restocking fridges, stock rotation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the trading areas and ensure correct procedure is followed for all equipment used.
  • Taking bookings, dealing with enquiries.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Adhere to health & safety policies.

As an Apprentice Hospitality Assistant you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and serving food and drinks to customers in a friendly and professional manner and communicating with bar and kitchen staff.

You will be included on a Hospitality Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work. Award Winning Vocational Training Provider of the Year!

Future prospects

Future prospects include opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 qualification once completed Level 2, and the possibility to take licence training etc for the right candidate.

Things to consider

This job has some late finishes (12am latest) and local bus services finish before this, so some access to transport would be desirable. Working in a busy pub working behind the bar and food service in the restaurant. Working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, with latest finish being 12am. Days off will be based on rota and vary each week.
