Main responsibilities and key activities:

Operational Risk

  • To support the Risk Function in the production of their monthly reports for the Executive and Risk Committees
  • To provide support to the Operational Risk Manager on the administration of Magique, the Society’s Risk Management System
  • To assist the Operational Risk Manager and the Risk Assistant in maintaining the Policy Review Schedule and associated activity

Financial Crime

  • To support the Financial Crime Risk Manager in the delivery of Financial Crime prevention objectives
  • To provide screening support on low risk matches
  • To provide assistance to the Risk Assistant on the completion of CALLml refers

Financial Risk

  • To help coordinate the collection monthly financial Key Risk Indicators
  • Production of minutes and actions for the Investment Governance Meeting
  • Administrative support for the Model Governance Working Group

General

  • To provide administrative support to the Risk Function
    • Admin and logistical support
    • Diary and meeting management
    • Production of minutes from team meetings and management of follow up actions

 


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including minimum Grade C in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Would be beneficial to have some experience of creating and editing websites/videos, Photoshop etc.

Personal qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Have an organised and flexible approach to work
  • Positive attitude and motivation

Qualifications required

  • Ideally a minimum 5 GCSEs C and above including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
