To assist and support the operations team with all aspects off the transport operation. You will be trained in all aspects of transport including:

  • Legislations (WTD, driver’s hours, vehicle weights and weight limits)
  • Transport planner for both general haulage and Pall-Ex to plan efficiently whilst closely monitoring costs and margins,
  • Dealing with customers and drivers face to face and on the phone so you will be able communicate at all levels,
  • Monitoring performance and understanding the importance of KPI reporting daily, weekly and monthly
  • Day to day operations (preparing drivers paperwork, delivery notes and times sheets, monitoring drivers schedules and reporting any delays or problems.
  • Day to day procedures & compliance, you will be shown the importance of the POD’s and how to up-loaded these for our customers.
  • Adhere to all Trucklink.EU Health and Safety Policies and Procedures when partaking in any working duties that require a specific Safe System of Work

Support with the administrative duties relevant to the job role such as:

  • Driver Time sheets
  • P.O.Ds for UK Pallets and Freight Forwarding
  • Trucklink.EU P.O.Ds
  • Customer ETAs
  • De brief drivers
  • Assisting with customer collections
  • KPI Reporting
  • Request Bookings
  • Warehouse checks
  • Day to day Phone calls
  • The sharing of best practice and methods to improve the service we provide

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
