Phoenix Medical is a fast growing company in the Chinese medicine sector. We are one of the few suppliers in the UK and we pride ourselves in providing only the highest quality products to practitioners in the UK and Europe. We also run courses in Chinese medicine taught by world renowned academics and we support a number of NHS research trials. Through our work, we hope to pioneer the development of Chinese medicine in the west.

We're looking for a diligent and creative individual to join our marketing team. You will be assisting and reporting to the Marketing Manager with day-to-day administrative marketing activities to maintain our brand's profile. This is a creative role and requires the candidate to be self-motivated and willing to learn. Previous experience is not essential, all training will be provided.

Your duties will include:

  • Administration support so good communication skills are a must.
  • Receiving and making phone calls, good telephone manner is required.
  • Data input
  • Processing orders
  • Good IT skills are an advantage.
  • Emailing customers
  • Any other duties requested by the manager/supervisor.

Working in a fast paced environment, being organised is paramount.

You will be supported throughout your employ through your apprentice provider.

Training to be Provided City & Guilds

  • Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Business Administration
  • Level 1/2  Functional Skills in Maths & English
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

The ideal candidate should have basic IT skills and have an excellent telephone manner.

Personal qualities

Needs to have a positive and hardworking attitude with the willingness to progress and enjoy customer facing.

Qualifications required

GCSE grade A-B in Maths & English or equivalent desired but not essential.

Future prospects

Opportunities to grow with the company after completion of Apprenticeship.

Things to consider

The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
