  • Review incident reports emailed from operations - record details in logs, maintain a database and help produce monthly reports
  • After receiving training, deal with phone queries on various subjects
  • Help with the monthly collection of group statistics and production of reports which are issued to senior management and group Head Office in Paris
  • Initial proof reading of Health & Safety, Quality and Dangerous Goods Audits reports, leading to collecting information for, & helping to write them
  • Assisting with accident investigations

The manager reports directly to the Managing Director and has responsibility for 7 operational sites and 3 satellite sites 

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Report writing experience useful and good phone manner

Personal qualities

  • Good attention to detail. Willingness to question information/statements and to spot ‘anomalies’
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Discretion as they are likely to be in meetings with senior management and be aware of confidential/sensitive information

Qualifications required

  • A-C GCSE (or equivalent)

Future prospects

Role will provide a basic understanding in Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security, Dangerous Goods and ‘Quality Standards’ (ISO) and the option to gain additional experience if preferred area(s).
