To assist the finance manager and payroll manager in day to day accounting tasks.

Within first 3 months:

  • Update various Google forms as and when a new property comes in (Expenses, fee raising, inspection form…)
  • Update Mileage Analysis (Monthly entry of mileage done by employees on Google Doc)
  • Scan and File Suppliers invoices
  • Update Access Database with issued invoices
  • Updating Access Database with new properties
  • Bi-Weekly variance analysis of fees outstanding and follow up
  • Updating daily cash flow (Google sheet)
  • Raising invoices on SAGE as per Corporate Accounts Manager/Finance Manager’s instructions (Provide DB info, H&S Schedule etc….)
  • Posting Debtor receipts on Sage based on Remittances and Barclays statements
  • Debtor reports - Excel Format - Pivot tables

Between 3 and 6 months:

  • Expenses analysis (in depth analysis of employees spending)
  • Process cash and credit card expenses - Chase late Barclaycards, check forms, query if discrepancies, post to Sage
  • Prepare journals of prepayment of expenses/deferred income for Finance Manager review
  • Assisting Finance Manager with quarterly client profitability analysis


Between 6 and 12 months:

  • Preparing monthly expense accrual / income journals for Finance Manager review
  • Preparing draft MA working paper file for Finance Manager review
  • Draft Sage VAT return calculation for Finance Manager review
  • Assisting Finance Manager with Intercompany reconciliations and recharges
  • Opportunities to be involved in implementation of new accounting system
  • Opportunities to be involved in assisting chasing and resolving old debtor balances

Qualifications required

Minimum of 5 GCSE’s a-C grades including Maths and English (or equivalent).

A-Levels preferable
