    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

The Behavioural Referrals & Vetinary Practice are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with good personal and communication skills, the ability to show initiative and be successful in a competitive working environment.

The role will include, but not restricted to:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls in a professional, efficient manner, taking and forwarding messages when necessary
  • Opening, sorting and routing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail
  • Recording details of all incoming and outgoing mail using the online postal register
  • Operating office machines such as the photocopier, scanner and facsimile
  • Photocopying, collating and distributing documents for staff across the organisation
  • Preparing and filing documents accurately and promptly
  • Maintaining and updating the filing system
  • Archiving of files and paperwork
  • Greeting and meeting visitors
  • To provide administrative duties to the Office Manager and the team
  • To assist in the completion of purchase orders of resources and supplies
  • To provide reports and documents through accurate use of Microsoft Office

This employer is willing to take on a Level 3 Apprentice if a candidate has already obtained the appropriate Level 2 qualification.
