    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

The role will be providing support to the mortgage team, Managing Director and Office Manager.

Exciting and fast paced working environment, with potential for progression within a growing company.

Ideally you will have some administrator experience but not essential.

Duties include:

Liaising with Mortgage Lenders:

  • Arranging BDM meetings
  • New business processing
  • Chase updates on existing cases

Prepare files pre sales and post sales ensuring files are compliant:

  • Suitability letters
  • Mortgage offer
  • Key facts illustrations
  • Application
  • Research
  • Fact find
  • Fee agreement
  • Due  diligence
  • Email or phone clients for weekly updates or chase outstanding info as required
  • Manage diaries
  • Liaison with Mortgage Brokers/Wealth Managers
  • Manage/ update back office systems
  • Preparation and storage of client files
  • Produce weekly business stats
  • Provide administration support to Mortgage Brokers/Wealth Managers
  • Social Media – implementing and executing a Social Media strategy into the business using social media platforms such as Facebook, LINKED IN, TWITTER

Requirements and prospects

  • Ideally you will have some administrator experience but not essential

Qualifications required

  • Ideally a minimum 5 GCSEs C and above including Maths and English (or equivalents)

Future prospects

Full time employment with the potential progression to become a Paraplanner.

Things to consider

You will be learning about all aspects of Financial Services and learning new skills related to how businesses work. On the apprenticeship, there will be a good mixture of practical work and written work. Throughout the duration of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend Derby College on a block release basis, the remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.
