This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Apprentice Chef at The Bay Horse!

Duties Include:
• Preparing and cooking menu to a high standard as per company specification
• Monitoring and sorting of stock
• Be able to read recipes and be able to prepare & cook the dishes as specified in the recipe
• Ensure no food is unnecessarily wasted
• Comply with hygiene and health and safety standards
• Have a high standard of work practise and hygiene

•No specific qualifications required as full training is to be given. However basic maths and English skills are  desirable.

There is a possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate.

Things to consider

You will be working five days out of seven, including weekends and evenings. You must be prepared to work additional hours dependent on the needs of the business. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
