  • A great opportunity to obtain your apprenticeship qualification with the world’s largest chemical company at BASF plc. Based in Cheadle, you will experience all areas of Business Administration. 
  • The position will provide a broad perspective of the BTC business operations from the basic building blocks of data quality through to customer service and sales development.


  • Sample Order Processing: Receive and process all samples orders in line with documented process.  Progress each order to ensure delivery to the customer.
  • Process all incoming internet enquiries accurately and promptly in the lead management system of BTC in line with the agreed procedure.
  • Collect and enter market potential data.
  • Support customers and BTC colleagues with requests for information relating to Material Safety Data Sheets, regulatory questions such as REACH status and Quality Management questionnaires.
  • Perform monthly quality checks of customer master data, highlighting errors and monitoring subsequent changes.
  • Assist Business Support Manager with project work as specified, prioritising workload to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • This position will at times require the holder to work under their own initiative with little supervision.
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines and to produce quality and accurate work is essential. 
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE’s or equivalent in English & Maths and ICT are essential.
