With over 40 years’ experience within the Auto Repair Industry S&D Pollitt are now looking for a Body Repair Technician to join the team!

A normal day would include:

  • Keeping work shop clean and tidy
  • Learning how to use the correct tools and equipment used in vehicle body repair
  • Removing and replacing structural motor vehicle body panels
  • Major repairs in motor vehicle body panels
  • Identifying and rectifying motor vehicle body misalignment
  • Assisting other members of staff in their work and being given on the job training
  • Ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner.

How you will be supported

  • Full training and support will be provided by our expert tutors and assessment staff at The Skills Company. You will also be assigned a mentor in the workplace who will pass on their skills and knowledge to you.

Things to consider

The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
