To efficiently undertake basic administration and clerical duties and supporting the smooth running of the office.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
As acting in an assisting role during your hours of employment at Curran & Pinner your responsibilities will include the following:
- Office cover – Greeting customers as they enter the premises and effectively direct their enquiry to the correct department / person. There may be instances where you need to provide cover in any of our 3 branches.
- Answering telephone enquiries – Answering unanswered / overflow telephone calls and directing the enquiry to the correct department / person. Effectively taking messages if no other staff members are available.
- Assisting the administration department – Providing general assistance by performing a range of tasks which will include; issuing of letters, collating reports for the sales & lettings teams, recording of key handovers to clients and contractors, issuing reports to clients, managing the board stock and instructing the board company on changes and new instructions, liaising with clients to ensure Curran & Pinner holds all relevant information on files, updating window displays, collating property particulars.
As part of the above, the suitable candidate will require a number of skills, some of which will be taught during the apprenticeship and others can be developed on an ongoing basis. These skills will include, good communication with a good telephone manner, well presented, Accurate timekeeping, motivation and proactive thinking to assist when the need arises, good IT skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
