The comprehensive programme provides you with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training. Duties will include:

  • Working alongside qualified Technicians with the investigation, repair and service of vehicles.
  • Producing estimates.
  • Carrying out diagnostics.
  • Assisting with MOT's on vehicles.
  • Other general technical duties and general housekeeping.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

  • A keen interest in and knowledge of the motor vehicle industry.
  • Mechanically minded with meticulous attention to detail.
  • The willingness to also undertake basic duties as part of training.

Qualifications required

GCSE's at grade A* to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Science and ICT are desirable.

Future prospects

Upon successful completion and review of your Level 2 Apprenticeship you will progress onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship. Your salary shall be reviewed throughout your apprenticeship.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). * Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week.
