The main purpose of this apprenticeship is to provide the candidate with a  broad engineering experience covering both manufacturing in terms of a product and in respect of actually cutting a variety of materials   to produce the  parts necessary for our customers products. This may also involve jigs and tools to make the parts concerned. This machines are  manua/ CNC lathes and milling machines, use of measuring equipment to ensure the quality of the parts concurr with the customer’s drawings. Reading technical  engineering drawings and making the part exactly to drawing.

The position provides the opportunity to work in two parts  of the company.

Manufacturing - Learning all aspects of the manufacturing cycle from stock coming in, stock control mechanical assembly , testing of the product at various stages and final packaging and despatch.

Machine Shop - Training  on manual and CNC machines making some of the parts for the product as well as many other parts for a variety of industries such as Scientific,medical,defence, marine.
