The role will be business administration work which will include:

  • Dealing with Customer Enquiries
  • Preparing Sales Quotes and Processing Sales Orders
  • Taking incoming telephone calls
  • Outgoing calls including chasing outstanding quotes

The role will also include providing support for other areas of the business as required – for example:

  • Raising purchase orders and chasing overdue deliveries
  • Co-ordinating repairs/service and ensuring they are completed on time
  • Assisting with stores duties

The successful candidate will be smart, professional, outgoing, and confident. They will also be very comfortable in making and receiving telephone calls.

  • Confident with talking to customers on the telephone – full training will also be provided

Qualifications required

  • GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics, English and Science (or equivalent)
  • A chemistry interest would be an advantage
  • French language skills would be an advantage

Future prospects

As we are a SME with continued growth the prospects are endless. The most natural progression from this role could potentially be office manager.

Things to consider

As you will be dealing with customers both incoming and outgoing it is important you have an outgoing personality and are a confident person. You will need to be comfortable in talking to customers on the telephone as this will be a key part of the role – full telephone skill training will be provided but you will need to be comfortable and confident on the phone.
