Job Description


Provide effective and accurate administration support to the Financial Advisers ensuring Compliance is followed and deadlines are met. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office , mainly excel and word are essential.

Main duties:

1. Submit all types of life/pension/investment  business via the software systems and the mail, to providers and associated networks.

2. Complete all in house procedures accurately in association with this process and in accordance with compliance rules.

3. Chase and follow up pending applications in order to move each case forward to completion. Work with the rest of the team to meet weekly on-risk targets.

4. Become, via in house training, proficient with all software systems. Make recommendations and to improvements to office systems and procedures.

5. Communicate and liaise effectively with all other members of the office, and clients via the telephone/e-mail and mail.

6. Answer the telephone proficiently and follow up queries. Liaise with clients and all other associated parties.

7. Meet, greet and organise refreshments to visiting clients.

8. Be punctual within the agreed hours. Provide cover to other team members during holidays and sickness.

9. Provide general office duties such as filing/photocopying/faxing/scanning/following up on queries and emails etc as required.

Qualifications required

Apprentices must have good verbal communications skills and the potential to gain evidence for the competence part of the qualification in the workplace.  In addition, apprentices should have maths, ICT and English GCSE grades A –C or be able to demonstrate their ability to work at a minimum of level 1 in all 3.  Apprentices should be working a minimum of 30 hours per week

Future prospects

After the successful completion of the level 3 qualification a permanent position may be offered if there is a business requirement which is subject to performance, attitude and time keeping
