    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing apprentice to join our innovative
  • Start-up and Scale-Up ‘Accelerator’ department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals.
  • You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing
  • strategies.
  • As a marketing apprentice, you will collaborate with our marketing and
  • advertising team in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution
  • will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.
  • This apprenticeship will help you acquire hands on marketing skills and provide
  • you with the opportunity to participate in the implementation of various
  • marketing strategies.
  • Ultimately, you will broaden your experience in marketing and be better prepared
  • for future roles in any fast paced work environment.
  • You will be expected to:
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Perform market analysis and research on competition
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management
  • systems (CRM). Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct
  • mail and web)
  • Assist on digital advertising including PPC, Remarketing, Banner Advertising and SEO
  • Produce regular Analytics reports and provide other statistics as required .
  • Assist in the preparation of promotional presentations
  • Help distribute marketing materials

Things to consider

From 1st May 2017 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This rises annually as set by government. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. Working Week: Dates and times to be confirmed at interview.
