    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Performing a true generalist HR support role.
  • Providing full HR administration support to the HR team; being the primary coordinator of all administration paperwork; both in to, and out of the office.
  • Where appropriate, liaising with store personnel on a daily basis; providing an advisory and support service from the center.
  • Issuing new employee contracts of employment, and all associated paperwork; monitoring and managing their return accordingly.
  • Being responsible for updating internal systems with any employee detail changes.
  • Supporting the HR Advisor in the collation of employee Attendance Management paperwork.
  • Liaising with payroll on a daily basis to provide updates on new starters, leavers, and any other HR related matters.
  • Providing regular updates to the Head of HR and HR Advisor on outstanding documentation relating to (but not limited to) contractual documentation, eligibility documentation.
  • Assisting with the recruitment process including CV sifting, contacting candidates and arranging interviews, and issuing of necessary confirmation, offer and also unsuccessful correspondence.
  • Taking notes at internal meetings; distributing actions where appropriate.
  • Ensuring managers are working in line with best practice and current Company Policy.
  • Performing a true HR generalist role.
  • Gaining exposure to strategic business development through involvement in ad hoc projects.
