    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties Include:

  • General Admin Duties  - Organisation of office, filing, admin for current and upcoming projects. 
  • Data Gathering - Gathering new data and organising current data for telephone staff in a systematic way and presenting this to the line manager.
  • Social Media - Dealing with social media scheduling, Content and ideas across all social media platforms.
  • Marketing Streams  - Looking at designing offers, gathering info for blogs, leaflet design, email marketing platforms to work from and adapt to.
  • Answering the telephone.
  • Organisation of all projects and live jobs so this is visual across the office for staff to view.

Training provider

  • Competency qualification: Apprentices will be required to produce work and build an e-portfolio of evidence through blended learning which will include practical and written knowledge assessments which are carried out in the workplace.   
  • Knowledge qualification is delivered in the classroom on a day release basis over a period of 16 weeks.  The course is completed with written / computerised assessments that are delivered in exam conditions in the classroom.
  • Functional Skills at level 1 in Maths, English and IT delivered in the classroom
  • Employment Rights & Responsibilities are embedded in the competency qualification.
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills are delivered via a workbook and completed in the workplace.
