These vacancies offer an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to learn, develop and progress.  The job role involves some decision making an an individual customer and contract level, with problems being referred to a manager.

You will:

  • Deal with incoming emails and phone calls and choose the appropriate course of action.
  • Follow up quotes and opportunities by phone
  • Complete documentation required in the sales process
  • Identify and resolve client concerns, escalating when necessary
  • Handle any other non-technical queries in relation to orders
  • Provide cover for team members
  • Learn how the business is run, preparing to be flexible and experiencing different roles as necessary
  • Working to deadlines and prioritising workflow

These are office based roles, requiring concentration for periods which can be in excess of two hours.

Qualifications required

5 GCSE grade C or above including Maths and English.

Future prospects

There may be development opportunities available that might increase the post holder's responsibilities and duties. These will be discussed with you and agreed.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
