We are looking to take on waiting staff with customer service focus, serving lunch and evening meals in a bust restaurant environment, you will learn all aspects of food and wine and beverage service   taking bookings, telephone enquiries to include all front of house duties.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Serve food and drinks at the table 
  • Prepare and serve hot drinks using specialist equipment
  • Promote additional services and products 
  • Prepare and clear the bar and tables
  • Take reservations by phone or in person

Qualifications required

A Good level of English and Maths, GCSE results (A-C or equivalent) are desirable.

Future prospects

After successful completion of the apprenticeship, full time employment will be possible.

Things to consider

You will be working split shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
