    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

To assist across a range of office activities to include dealing with clients over the phone, by email and in person and the preliminary preparation of books of account and personal tax returns.

This will include, but not be restricted to:

  • Collecting post in the morning.
  • Scanning and processing incoming correspondence.
  • Interacting with both clients and HMRC via phone and email.
  • Training provided in a variety of different software and in double entry bookkeeping.

Training provider

You will cover a range of complex accounting tasks, including maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns. You’ll learn and master a number of accounting disciplines including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants.

Units include:

  • The importance of professional ethics in the working environment.
  • Use of spreadsheets to manage information in the accounting environment.
  • Analysing variances.
  • Reconciling ledgers.
  • Making provisions for doubtful and irrecoverable debts.
