This is an opportnity for two apprentices to train as Quality Engineers.  The main job role will include:

  • Understanding and operating measuring equipment
  • Calibration of measurement equipment and gauges
  • Lean and operate CMM measuring equipment
  • Complete first and last off Quality Assurance checks
  • Interpret and record component drawings
  • Control plans and auditing
  • Learn statistical tools and problem solving

Qualifications required

GCSE grades A-C in English, Maths, ICT, Science

Engineering qualification would be preferred (GCSE or BTEC)

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship you will become on-site Quality Assurance Engineers.

Things to consider

Training will include 3 days per week for the first 2 years at In-Comm Training Services, Aldridge, WS9 8UG and the remaining 2 days at the company. After this you will be required to continue your studies 1 days per week at In-Comm for the following 2 1/2 years. Please ensure you are able to travel to both the company and to In-Comm.
