An excellent Hairdressing Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen. You will be sweeping, cleaning, making drinks and assisting qualified hair stylists, alongside training for NVQ level 2 hairdressing qualification.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
We are looking for candidates wanting to start their career in hairdressing, we need individuals with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, a passion for hairdressing and excellent communication skills.
As an apprentice you will be required to:
- Assist experienced stylists in all aspects fo work that they do which can include colouring, cutting or styling hair as well as reception duties including taking salon bookings, processing payments adn retailing hair care products.
- The apprentice will be expected to welcome customers, as well as get them refreshments, keep the salon tidy and clean to ensure that the stylists are able to work in a clean and tidy environment. This will involve sweeping clean the salon floor of cut hair and clearing away clients' finished beverage cups.

GCSE in maths and English, grade C or above (or equivalent) or the committment to achieve these whilst on programme
