Reporting to Engineering Manager Duties include:

  • Operating a Maintenance system for the onsite machinery
  • Following agreed procedure this will include a details analysis of the maintenance needs.
  • Including:
  • Stripping down machinery
  • Equipment installation
  • Repairs
  • Assembly
  • Planned maintenance
  • The role will include frequent site work and work at the Sheffield based workshop. Work within a small Engineering Team, the suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are flexible, committed, prepared to assist other disciplines in day to day Engineering Operations
  • College attendance 1 day per week at Sheffield College - Olive Grove Campus

Things to consider

Please ensure you have sustainable transport means to reach both employer location Sheffield S9 5JF and Sheffield College S2 3GE. Regular site will be required with over night stays possible so due to this we require an apprentice to be over the age of 18.

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
