The opportunity to join an existing team has arisen due to the recent company success and growth. Celestra is highly experienced in delivering complex IT service solutions to hospitality and retail customers and we are continuously expanding our client base.

The Office Apprentice is an incredibly important person in our team. As the apprentice, you will support our internal support functions with all administrative and coordination duties.

This role is a very busy and varied one with lots of opportunity to expand your knowledge and progress within the company.

Here are just some of the duties you will have:

  • Manage all inbound enquiries via telephone or email with care and attention, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
  • Get involved with our Procurement team, including working with the project teams, logistics operations and other areas of the business to create process documents and source the most cost-effective IT solutions for the business.
  • Work within the Field Resource function to support with the administration of our vast pool of contractors out in the field.
  • This includes but is not limited to; purchase orders and timesheets.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing team with any administration, and gaining an understanding of different social media platforms and their impact on the business.
  • Gain a basic understanding of the Human Resources function, getting involved with recruitment, e.g. screening CVs, arranging interviews and administering testing to candidates.
  • General office administration, e.g. scanning, filing and updating trackers.
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc dutues as may be reasonably required.

Qualifications required

GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)

Future prospects

There could be potential at the end of the Apprenticeship to become a permanent employee. This will be assessed based on the apprentices performance during their apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Please ensure that you are able to travel to the employer location. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
