The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a strong team player, as well as having meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask. You must be numerate and IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to pick up new software quickly Reporting to the Manager

Duties include:

  • Handling customer queries
  • Receive and interpret orders from customers via phone/email/fax and post, and enter on to order processing software accurately
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Adhering to the received emails and faxes rota, ensuring equal distribution of all work to all CSRs
  • Filing to agreed system, including maintaining non-account customer information and scanning/copying invoices
  • Post procedure, including booking post onto Royal Mail website, FedEx tracking and returns
  • Maintain clean and tidy office environment
  • Have a working knowledge of MS NAV and MS Office packages
  • Product and legislative knowledge; Jepson's, Jepson Classic, Framptons, 1894 and JepLabel (and further JCo products as appropriate)
  • Understanding of the NCR process, and the recording of appropriate information
  • Price approvals for amended orders
  • Customer complaint management; initial contact with customer and escalation to appropriate individual at JCo if necessary
  • Processing pro-forma payments via SAGE pay (refunds when relevant) and PayPal
  • Raising customer invoices; monthly, GA/UAN, consolidated and BMW
  • Attendance at external events when required
  • Other appropriate duties as and when appropriate

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
