Responsibilities included in this role:

  • Maintenance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
  • Working effectively as part of a hospitality team
  • Serve food at the table
  • Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
  • Serve alcoholic and soft drinks
  • Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws
  • Be involved and contribute at all team meetings
  • Carry out instructions as given by management and head office

In line with standard working hours within the industry this vacancy is less than 30 hours per week. The overall duration of the apprenticeship is therefore extended accordingly.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Our roots are firmly in Loch Fyne on the west coast of Scotland, and we have become famous all over the country for our sustainably sourced fresh and delicious seafood.

Much of the shellfish and smoked fish served in our restaurants still comes direct from the loch and is delivered so fresh you can taste the fresh spring water that tumbles down from the surrounding mountains when you tuck into a delicious Loch Fyne oyster!
