As an Apprentice Digital Marketer, your job includes:

  • Assist the marketing manager and marketing team
  • Set up marketing campaigns
  • Manage project timelines
  • Communicate with internal team to gather requirements & source material
  • Provide regular updates on social media
  • Assist in planning and developing website/ Facebook content
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and literature, such as web content, print material including brochures, video and photography
  • Write and proofread copy
  • Upload material to the website, social media pages, and marketing department Digital Asset folders
  • Help design and place advertisements and other promotional materials
  • Provide creative input
  • Use analytics tools across all online platforms to analyse and interpret data and create reports for non-IT specialists

  • Excellent written and oral skills: Good copywriting skills to enable creation of online or hard copy content for campaigns, blogs, newspaper articles etc.
  • IT skills: Proficiency in MS Office packages including Outlook and Adobe PhotoShop and/or Illustrator.
  • Great interpersonal skills: Able to build relationships with a wide variety of people. A personable manner, a strong team-player and adaptability are all important.
  • The candidate would also have experience of working within an office atmosphere and be practised in using Outlook as well as other office programs and procedures.
  • Professional attitude: Willing to take on a challenge. Willing to work as part of a team, to take direction and contribute to the success of the organisation.

Qualifications required

You don’t need loads of professional experience in marketing. However, you’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths and English.

Future prospects

By working hard and demonstrating your ability, drive and commitment throughout your 15 month apprenticeship scheme, upon completion you will be offered a permanent contract ensuring you have further opportunities to continue growing within this exciting organisation.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
