    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

The role of a Case Handler is an integral role to support the smooth running of a case within the main Operations of the business.

The role is varied and will involve dealing with Medical Experts, Solicitors and the General Public, providing key and accurate information.

The role will include taking and receiving telephone calls in order to process claims with set time scales.

The role will include key performance measures against set criteria including quality, efficiency and attendance.

 Duties will also include:

  • To input accurate case data on a regular basis
  • To be responsible and accountable for assigned workload including meeting internal and customer Service Level Agreements
  • Make and receive telephone calls to customer and suppliers, ensuring a high level of customer service each time
  • Ensure all customer interactions are in line with the business processes and best practice guidelines
