You’ll have the chance to work alongside some of the freshest and most creative marketing talent in Manchester, providing administrative support and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of a busy office. As the face of the agency you will be responsible for greeting visitors and answering the telephone, as well as making sure the office is well maintained and liaising with clients and suppliers.

A normal day would include:

  • Dealing with incoming correspondence, enquiries and requests, including mail, phone calls and emails.
  • Liaising with suppliers and ensuring office supplies are fully stocked; stationery, kitchen, water and any other supplies.
  • Organising weekly office rewards, such as Hump Day treats and Friday Drinks.
  • Greeting guests and preparing tea and coffee as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy office environment, and making sure that communal areas and boardrooms are suitable for use.
  • Running errands including going to the post office and shopping.

What you could go on to do:

The Office Administrator role has the opportunity to progress to Office Manager, and there may also be opportunities to progress in other areas of the business.

Qualifications required

GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
