Responsibilities will include: 

  • Respond to telephone calls and allocate these to staff as appropriate.  If possible, respond to staff queries or take messages for staff ensuring that these are passed on, presenting a professional and helpful image to enquirers.
  • To provide full administrative support for Employee Relations processes as needed.
  • Plan and prioritise work whilst managing time effectively
  • Manage change effectively with a positive attitude
  • Maintain the HR Database and any other Company IT Systems / internal recording spreadsheets ensuring that all data input is accurate and up to date with the latest information.
  • Ensure security and strict confidentiality of all records and work undertaken with the Department.
  • Process any staff employment changes promptly ensuring all documentation is completed, authorised and sent to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure the HR Database and other Company / internal systems are updated with any employment changes and payroll are notified.  Notify the IT Department of any staff employment changes so email signatures and email groups can be amended
  • Ensure all payroll changes are filed accurately on the staff members’ record.
  • Process all leavers documentation such as resignations and terminations as required, ensuring holiday entitlements are calculated and any deductions are made as directed/required and payroll are notified
  • Notify Payroll of staff leaving details and ensure documentation is passed over, clarifying any additional payment information as required.
  • Ensure the HR and other Company IT systems (including email accounts) are accurately updated and staff records closed
  • Produce Leaver KPI status reports when requested.
  • Manage the probationary review admin process as directed.

Qualifications required

Maths and English A-C Grade GCSE or equivalent.

Things to consider

An excellent opportunity for a pay increase after the first year of employment. The organisation offers 25 days of annual leave which will increase to 28 days after 2 years of service. Own transport is desirable due to the company's location, however, if candidate uses public transport these arrangements can be discussed at interview.
