    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties Include:

  • To receive in goods, check and scan in paperwork/ items
  • To look after the stationary and consumables
  • To look after the pool car bookings, any issues with the car (faults, servicing etc.) would be handled by Purchasing/ Becca 
  • To maintain the enquiry register and update with new enquiries, create the enquiry folder.
  • To follow up issued enquiries to see if we have been successful & update spreadsheet with the comments
  • To take minutes of meetings (training on this would be given)
  • General scanning of archive paperwork.
  • Answering the phone and directing calls as necessary
  • Producing Quotations
  • Working with the operations team on system improvements
  • Arranging couriers

  • The successful candidate will need to be a confident individual who has the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
  • We are looking for somebody who is a good communicator, with a clear and professional telephone manner.
  • The successful candidate will be organised and have good attention to detail.
  • You must be IT literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Packages.

Training provider

  • Competency qualification: Apprentices will be required to produce work and build an e-portfolio of evidence through blended learning which will include practical and written knowledge assessments which are carried out in the workplace.   
  • Knowledge qualification is delivered in the classroom on a day release basis over a period of 16 weeks.  The course is completed with written / computerised assessments that are delivered in exam conditions in the classroom.
  • Functional Skills at level 1 in Maths, English and IT delivered in the classroom
  • Employment Rights & Responsibilities are embedded in the competency qualification.
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills are delivered via a workbook and completed in the workplace.
