We are looking for enthusiastic Apprentice Café Assistant to join our team at Delice De Champs.

Duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Building relationships with customers
  • Preparation of drinks
  • Serving food and drinks
  • Cash and Card handling
  • Understanding our menus and products
  • General duties – setting up/closing service
  • Cleaning duties

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Food and Beverage Services Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship.

This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Qualifications required

GCSE Grade C Mathematics and English or equivalent in functional skills is preferable.

The vacancy is not just for the length of the level 2 Apprenticeship but is permanent with the opportunity to progress and develop their skills further with the employer.

Things to consider

The work rota will cover 7 days with 2 days off as agreed with the manager the café is never quiet, so customers are in at all times with many regular customers and there is a lot of standing, and the job role is practical . You will be joining a small friendly team and the appearance of the café is very important so there are few quiet times and building up a knowledge of the food and drink served at the café will be important in maintaining the standards set which are high. Please note you could be asked to interview earlier than date given, as we are looking to fulfil the positions as soon as possible. Please ensure you apply early to avoid disappointment. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.
