Main role/ responsibilities 

  • Assisting students and staff with first-line technical support issues
  • ICT support tasks as directed by the Senior IT Services Technician and/or IT Services Manager
  • User account administration 
  • Classroom technical support and assistance
  • Daily checking and maintenance of computer suites
  • Printer and photocopier toner/ink cartridge replacement as required
  • Periodically checking and filling Tech Block photocopier with paper
  • Installation and maintenance of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Periodic checks of laptop banks for any technical issues
  • Periodic hardware audits as directed by the IT Services Manager
  • Daily checks around school site to identify potential technical support issues
  • Assisting with audio-visual setups for assemblies and calendared after-school events


  • The post holder will be expected to undertake any other reasonable associated duties as directed by the Principal

Training provider

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
