    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

As an apprentice Chef your role will be assisting in the production and service of food according to Service Level Agreement while maintaining correct levels of Health & Food Safety.

In this role you will be required to work as part of a smaller group during the day and then a larger group when attending functions and in front of the public.

Applicants will have the opportunity to have a varied workplace and gain classical chef skills.

Reality Check The Hospitality industry is a fun industry to be part of, however it can be hard and demanding work. You will be on your feet most of the time and will be expected to work evenings and some weekends. You should think about your location and whether you can get to and from your place of work, particularly if working shifts.
