    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Working week

    Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5,30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Working out of hours and weekends will be required periodically.

The company is independently owned, therefore, there are no restrictions on the career you can have,

The vacancy will involve the apprentice taking:

  • Administration (filing, diary organisation & some receptionist work),
  • Speaking to clients on the phone, (arranging site meetings, and followups)
  • Organising printing deadlines (liaising with printers, customers & clients)
  • Manage the office, help with maintaining budgets, both for the business and the clients
  • Use the bespoke internal computer system
  • Dealing with printers and the sign writers, helping prepare and present client pitches

Times of responsibility to cover when management are out of the office. The role is all-encompassing, and helping getting to understand the business, including administration and financial aspects.

Wage increases, bonuses, external courses (Office management, sales, marketing, driving lessons etc) will made available to a member of staff with a positive attitude, a customer focus and the desire to learn

Desired skills

Full training will be given. Basic communications skills, computer skills, telephone skills and learning skills will be required.

Personal qualities

First and foremost a POSITVE ATTITUDE is required, tenacity, the ability to problem solve, initiative and a desire to learn a very exciting, fun and rewarding business. A clean professional appearance is a must. Please consider this when attending your interview.

Qualifications required

English and maths will be required due to the nature of the business. Along with a good understanding of computer programmes and operations. 

Future prospects

A full-time position will be available to a successful apprentice. Jobs available could include :- Sales Support Manager, Office Manager, PA to the MD, External Sales Manager, Business Manager
