Duties include:

  • Helping printers to set up machines and materials in readiness for printing.
  • Learning to check the condition and correctness of printed sheets and laying them on to drying racks
  • Learning how to set up the printing machines and how to operate them
  • Learning about screen making, streching, reclaiming, coating, exposing, developing and finishing.
  • Filing of film positives and printing reference sheets.
  • Assisting printers will involve fetching  and carrying paper, metal framed screens , printing inks etc.
