  • Portal and procurement gate-keeper for group-wide print, post and stationary and care worker equipment ordering  
  • Responsibility to identify preferred supplier relationships and to initiate group-wide business partnerships
  • Continually negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Finalise purchase details for certain orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contract terms
  • Take a lead on general office admin duties such as answering the telephone and greeting internal and external visitors etc.
  • Produce a weekly KPI report to present Group care hours delivered and care worker headcount stress points and distribute to the management team
  • Take ownership for finance based Office of National Statistics data requests 
  • Run ad-hoc reports from our rostering system to highlight unconfirmed visit numbers and liaise with offices to ensure they are cleared down in a timely manner

  • Have a flare for numbers
  • High attention to detail  
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are a base requirement - ability to work with lookups, pivots and basic formulae
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Personal qualities

  • Strongly motivated to embark on a first or new career 
  • Work well within a team and on own initiative

5 GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent).

The key dates are to be used as a guide only. Should the right candidate be found, this vacancy may close early. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
